Watch: What Does an Academic Editor Do?
Editorial Independence & Conflicts of Interest
JSKAR maintains editorial independence and applies the same standards of peer review to all submissions, including manuscripts submitted by members of the editorial team.
When an editorial team member submits a manuscript:
- The manuscript is assigned to an independent Academic Editor.
- The submitting editor has no involvement in reviewer selection.
- The submitting editor does not participate in the peer-review process.
- The submitting editor does not participate in the editorial decision.
- The independent Academic Editor manages the peer-review process.
- The final decision follows the journal's established editorial process.
These safeguards are intended to ensure fairness, transparency, and confidence in the journal's editorial process.
